bite of the best

I wish I could sometimes be more like my children, forgo manners and etiquette, and just take a bite out of the best part of life. Just the good stuff, right in the middle and leave the rest to be dealt with by someone else.

.

But if you do happen to spy a cake with a middle piece cut out, leaving the (next in line) corner piece still in the pan, I will admit that it was me.

Kids are so very smart! If only we'd listen more often.

Hahahaha hahaha! That's totally how Cade eats his apples too!

Must be a boy thing! :)

Here's to only eating the good parts!

Hannah eats her apples like that too. I like how kids think, from that regard at least. Of course, it gets kind of messy when they ignore the bread, split the sandwich, and just lick the heck out of it. :)

I'm with you on this one. My daughter has taken to sucking the juice out of oranges and leaving the rest behind. Drives me mad....

Aww... so sweet, and such a life lesson :)

Lol! My son does the same thing. Though he as actually gotten really good at eating it all right down to the skin.

LOL! Why waste time with any part not the best ;)

My son likes to suck all the juice and seeds out of small tomatoes and leave the rest behind.

Ha! I would so laugh if I saw that! The best part is the crispy skin though!

I would laugh if I saw you eat the center of a cake!

I can always tell when my oldest daughter is home from college. She scrapes the middle out of the Oreo's and only eats the cookie part. She always leaves the filling in a glass on the counter in case her dad wants to make his Oreo into a "quadruple stuffed"

you know those cinnamon rolls you buy and put in the round pans and bake for like 10 minutes before removing them and drowning them in frosting?
That's how I knew my boyfriend really loved me - he saved the middle for me...that man is now my husband...and now I have to do paper, rock, scissors for said middle piece with our little girl!
;)

The other day I tried to show Nico that I was cutting off the crust, and he still only ate the middle part. Silly little kids.

hehe, and if you spy a brownie pan with only the middle ones left, that was ME :)

Kids are so picky aren't they. They don't want to eat the whole apple slice becuase heaven forbid they get any of the peel in their mouth at all.
And I really wish that someone else would deal with the cleanup issue when I was done eating.
Sigh, it was great to be a carefree kid.
Great work with that picture. It looks great!

And don't forget the middle of sandwiches and the point of the pizza slice!

I so do that with brownies...I hate the corner pieces!

What if it's a brownie? I would totally leave the middle and just eat the edges!
