My husband says to say that 'we went to the North Shore this past weekend', but I think that just sounds prissy, like 'but of course, we were yachting this weekend!' (said in my snottiest, filthy rich kind of voice).
We are so not yacht people.
But on our vacation, we did hike into Gooseberry Falls, apparently farther in than most people do, and not unlike the rich folks, we had this little private pseudo island to ourselves. With waterfalls, the most perfect skipping rocks and quiet (minus Wyatt, of course).

I love Gooseberry! I haven't been up there in YEARS!
What wonderful pictures! I saw a commercial for a show about people with strange addictions and there was a lady who eats ROCKS. So watch out for Edy there. :) Oh - and we live very close to North Shore drive so the meaning is completely different here (granted it does follow around the lake!). :)
Our family loves to visit "The North Shore", especially Gooseberry. Great pictures!

That photo of Wu totally looks photoshopped! Crazy! This looks so fun and I'm soooo jealous. I want to go chasin' waterfalls... pouty face. Happy almost birthday to Edy! Can't wait to see you guys!
I think you asked me, "Where are we going again??" and I said just call it the North Shore knowing you would forget the town of Two Harbors in a few minutes. There was no snob coaching involved. :) Great pic and post though. Makes me feel like I'm still there.
P.S. That picture of H and W tells their story very well.
Awesome pictures! And I am so not a yatch person either- though I have lived fairly close to many who are...
Love this!
PS I dreamed yesterday that your family came out here to visit Disneyland, but decided to stay with us. Only our ginormousish house turned into a tiny condo with large burritos at every seat at the table. There was something about straws, too, but it's gone. Like my mind.
LOVE the Target diapers. :) Boo Boo La La asked me how old Wyatt was... I think she is smitten!
Wow, the waterfalls are beautiful. I've never been there, so thanks for sharing the photos :)Hope you all have a great weekend.
here is the thing. i loved seeing you in real life but now? now we did a kid get together. i have to see that face in real life. wyatt kills me!!
and when we do finally make the trek back up there - can you take us here? please? pretty please?
happy bday weekend mama :)

Well, the North Shore I what it's called, silly! We were there the weekend before you and went to Gooseberry too. Your pictures are great.
we're heading to gooseberry on tuesday! love these.
also?
why do babies always try to eat rocks?
Those pictures are great! When we want to sound snooty, my husband and I will say in a snooty voice, "Mummy, bring round the Jag." (but, we don't even own a Jaguar)
