I walked into Wyatt's bedroom this morning, wondering why he was still asleep at 8:30am. I peered over his bed to see him wrapped up in this yellow and black Iowa Hawkeye blanket naked (cue the bad flashback to college days). He held between his arms, pajamas; snuggling up to them like it was his favorite blankie. But it gets better...
Underneath his naked body was his diaper, ripped off as he commonly likes to do these days. Not just any diaper, one filled with poop. Besides him, in his bed, is a dirty wipe, that I can only assumed he grabbed from his changing table and decided to 'clean himself up with' after such a messed was created. (Yes, my child is one for personal hygiene). But it gets better...
He kept telling me that he needs "new pajamas". I'm insistent, "No, it's time to get up, you need to get dressed". He continued on about 'new pajamas' as I continued on pulling off all the sheets, the blankets, surveying the bed for poop. But it gets better...
I throw the bundle into the laundry and return to his room to pick out some clothing for the day. Wyatt is still standing behind me yapping on and on about 'new pajamas'. I rolled my eyes and opened his underwear/pajama drawer. On top of all of his previously clean pajamas and underwear is his pajamas from last night, the ones that he took off after he pooped in his diaper. See, he successfully managed to cover his pajamas in poop too, take them off, put them back into his drawer and pull out the clean pajamas that he was snuggling with this morning when I found him.
I turned around to look at Wu, he looked at me with his big, blue saucer eyes and casually said "see, new pajamas!"

Ah, the joys of motherhood, cleaning up poop, boogers and puke! But their bright eyes and smiling faces make most of it worth it! :)

Yikes! Yes, from this regard he will stop doing this at some point so it will get better. But man, what a clean up!
I am SO there! Yesterday my two-year-old pooped in his diaper, then went into his room where he took it off (on his throw rug), getting poo on the floor in the process. Then, somehow, he managed to step in it, track it all over the carpet, smear it all down the back of his thigh, and leave a lovely smear on his (freshly washed) comforter.

Oh my goodness. He was covering up his tracks already! I'm sorry you had to deal with that on a Monday morning.
Neither of my kids ever did the removing of the diaper. Actually my 3 year old still hollers for me to wipe his butt after he poops on the potty.

None of my boys minded poopy diapers. (It really made potty training hard). I do have a good story though about my 22-year old son puking into a basket of clean laundry, naked, after coming home drunk. At least Wyatt is still young and cute enough that you don't mind cleaning up his messes. I agree with Tater Tot Mom... not better, just different.
Oh no---I just knew that was coming. Why do they always put the stuff away that's covered in poop?!
And keep the clean stuff all over the floor?!

oh geez. Well, at least he tried to clean everything up. Maybe that means he'll be a quick potty-trainer!
Oh sweet mother of Wu... the guilt I feel as I can't stop laughing... I'm going to hell, I know it. Or hell will come to me when Mad finally learns how to remove her own clothes and diaper. *shudder*

I hope it gets better. My almost-4-year old uses the potty, but I still end up cleaning up poop in my bathroom every now and then after a wiping gone wrong.
My 2 year old did the same thing over the weekend. Except she didn't bother to try to clean anything... she just kept pulling the poop out and wiping it on the bed.
Oh......MAN.
But, yes - it does get better.

I have a two year old who does the same thing, although usually takes her dirty clothes off through out the day and tucks them behind a couch or something for me to find later. Or the dog. Or a sibling.
