I've realized (or better said, a friend politely pointed out) that I haven't shared any pictures of Edy since my birth story. That's because I don't want to put you guys through commenting about 'how adorable she is'... blah, blah, blah because (hold onto your seats) I know that newborn aren't really cute. (Oh, the horror of my honesty).
But I think newborns are like little aliens. Take this picture as an example:
Then they sort of grow into this frog-like stage:
And finally, they start to look a little cute, right?
So... permission to comment about her chubby cheeks and pink little lips.

Awww although I hear you about newborns looking a bit like aliens or even old men...they are to me the most beautiful beings. And all three pics are gorgeous. Yes the chubby wee cheeks are adorable too

I just love all of your honesty! Although I think I am one of the few people who truly believes [most!] newborns are cute! My husband sure does agree with you though! Although the cheeks are irresistible...it's the eyes! Beautiful, bold eyes! Love them!!

You're right...Newborns either looke like aliens or old men - it depends on their fat percentage, imo. ;) Honestly, Edy is a really cute kiddo. Eli, on the other hand...Well, just be glad you got Edy and not Eli. lol.
Newborns are so adorable...even in their alien like state. In my kids cases, I think they are way cuter in person, though!
I love holding and rocking newborns. Such precious and trusting humanity right there in your arms.
I see no alien...only total cuteness! :)
Baby lips, baby noses, baby fingers - soooooo sweet! Here's a secret - when the pictures taken in the hospital after my son was born arrived in the mail, we almost sent them back - we were that convinced that the alien in the picture was not our son!

I was totally afraid of what Ryder was going to look like being born at 32 weeks, but he was so cute and just really small. Her lips are totally amazing!
My mom thought I looked like Yoda, I mean really I was a preemie with the cord around my neck, course I was going to come out wrinkled and green (blue from lack of oxygen and yellow from jaundice not a good combo)
But in truth I agree babies are not all cute but like yours most have such pretty eyes.

LMAO... so true! (Ahem... don't tell my kids I said that!) When Fynn was born I kept commenting on how she doesn't look exactly like her big sister because Mad's got these totally juicy lips. Well now that she's had a few weeks to continue cooking outside of the womb, she growing her *own* juicy lips. Smoochies!
I digress. That is one adorable baby you made there, Ms. Beth. She's got those smoochable lips, too!
