sacrilegious

Two years ago on Easter, we hunted for eggs in two feet of snow. This year we roasted Peeps on the bonfire.

New to me, these are the crème brulée of roasted marshmallow; caramelized and crunchy yumminess.

Sacrilegious? Perhaps. Delicious? Yes.

PS - I cannot truthfully say that no Peeps were harmed in the making of this blog post. Sorry my Peep-lovin' peeps.

I'm thinking that might be about the only thing one could do to make a Peeps taste anything close to good. Blecht!

But I am trying to convince the man of the 'stead that we should squeeze in a spring camping trip ASAP. Maybe I should go stock up on the perpetually stale anyway "treats." :+)

Lol! Love your P.S and maybe I would enjoy peeps that way, as otherwise sad to admit, I am not that big of a peeps fan.

I don't enjoy peeps, but I do like a good burnt roasted marshmallow...maybe I need to try burning a peep!

This? Cracks me up! Has Heather of the EO seen this? She's a Peep lover and may be upset to see those charred little bodies!!

Happy Easter!

I totally forgot that I had peeps in my house. I am forever in your debt for reminding me and also for suggesting that I toast them. Genius.

My son saw this post and was beside himself over the idea of roasting his favorite food on earth. Seriously, I thought he was going to pass out he was so excited!

Now I never would have thought to do that. But it sounds like an improvement on an already amazingly delicious item. Will have to tuck that idea away.
